Like all of our statues, this one is cast using the complex lost wax process and then treated in a complex patina process in many steps. Your statue will only be shipped in the shatterproof cardboard box provided for it. Your bronze figure will be shipped in a shatterproof box with proof of shipment on the next working day.

You are also welcome to collect your statue yourself from our showroom near Baden-Baden. This statue was made using the traditional lost wax casting process, the so-called lost form. This process, which is thousands of years old, is the most complex and expensive, but also the highest quality for producing bronze sculptures.

After the bronze blank is freed from the mold by breaking it, another complex process begins: chasing. During chasing, exhaust air ducts used in this process are cut off and any parts that have been cast in multiple parts are welded together.

The surfaces are then reworked with great artistic care using scrapers, punches or chisels, files, grinding and polishing tools until the surface of the sculpture has achieved its original image. Facial features, muscles and ornaments are worked out in great detail and nuances are highlighted. Each figure is given its own individual finish, which is completed by the final patination.
