picasso
Pablo Picasso (October 25, 1881 – April 8, 1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker and ceramicist, considered one of the most important and influential artists of the 20th century. Born in Málaga, Spain, Picasso showed exceptional talent at an early age and studied at various art schools in Barcelona and Madrid.
Picasso is known for his role in the development of Cubism, an avant-garde art movement that broke down forms and perspectives into geometric structures. Along with Georges Braque, he revolutionized painting with works such as Les Demoiselles d'Avignon and Guernica , the latter a powerful anti-war painting that addressed the horrors of the Spanish Civil War.
