For sale here is a handmade bronze figure group with artist signature on a marble base.

This statue was made using the traditional lost wax casting process. This millennia-old process is the most complex and highest quality method for producing bronze sculptures.

After the bronze blank is freed from the mold by breaking it, another complex process begins: chasing. This involves cutting off exhaust air ducts and possibly multi-part cast parts being welded together. The surfaces are reworked with great artistic care using scrapers, punches or chisels as well as files, grinding and polishing tools until the surface of the sculpture has achieved its final appearance.

Facial features, muscles and ornaments are worked out in the finest detail and nuances are highlighted. Each figure thus receives its own individual finish, which is completed by the final patination.
