The statue was made using the traditional lost wax method, also known as "lost molding". This millennia-old method is the most complex and highest quality method for producing bronze sculptures. After the bronze casting has been released from the mold, the complex chasing process begins. This involves removing exhaust air ducts and, if necessary, precisely welding multi-part sculptures together.

The surfaces are reworked with great artistic care using scrapers, punches, chisels, files, grinding and polishing tools to bring out the finest details such as facial features, muscles and ornaments. Each figure receives its individual finish and perfection through the final patination.
