The traditional lost wax process, also known as "lost mold," is a millennia-old process that is considered the most laborious and high-quality method for producing bronze sculptures. After the bronze cast is freed, the chasing process begins, in which exhaust ducts are removed and possibly multi-part sculptures are carefully welded together.

With artistic precision, the surfaces of the sculpture are reworked using scrapers, punches, files, grinding and polishing tools to bring out the finest details, such as facial features, muscles and ornaments. This complex process gives each sculpture its individual finish, which is perfected by the final patination.
